Center Front Desk Staff

This individual will need experience in collecting registrations and payments, registration/data collection, customer service, able to work nights and weekends, and willingness to work a flexible schedule. Some duties include but are not limited to providing a clean safe and supportive environment, answering phone calls, providing tours, properly setting up/breaking down rooms for activities, entering data and attendance, reporting facility issues to director, assisting customers as needed to their activities, providing accurate center information to customers, etc.

Senior Official/Referee

These positions are responsible for the overall officiating/judging of sports, programs activities and/or events to maintain standards. Works independently and/or works as a part of a team. Makes good sound judgment for a successful event. Must be aware of and enforcement of the Sports officiating rules and playing guidelines for their assigned sport(s). Inspects sports equipment and participants to ensure safe and supportive environment for play.

Sports Field/Gym Staff

These positions support year-round sport programming for youth and adults in the County – providing supervision to players and spectators; setup and breakdown of space and equipment; monitoring field play and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for play.

Program Support Assistant Leader-Countywide Programs-Therapeutic Recreation & Inclusion Services

These positions work as part of a team to plan, coordinate, supervise and evaluate activities in an afterschool program; assists with the supervision to a group of youth participants; assists in managing daily or weekly schedule; supports site setup and breakdown; resolves conflicts and addresses behavior issues and ensures safety of participants.

Rental Staff/Front Desk/Program Leads -Seniors

These positions are responsible for customer service interactions, registrations/data collection, classroom set-up/break-down, general oversight of programs and facility, and general oversight of participants in the building (Program Leads are also responsible for creating and leading programs for the center and its community). Expectations include but not limited to providing a clean safe and supportive environment, answering phone calls, collecting registrations and payments, properly setting up/breaking down rooms for activities, entering data and attendance, reporting facility issues to director, assisting customers as needed to their activities, providing accurate center information to customers, etc.

Assistant Group Leader- Youth Development

These positions work as part of a team to plan, coordinate, supervise and evaluate activities in an afterschool program; assists with the supervision to a group of youth participants; assists in managing daily or weekly schedule; supports site setup and breakdown; resolves conflicts and addresses behavior issues and ensures safety of participants.

Soccer4Change Field Staff-Youth Development

These positions support year round soccer programming for youth in the County – providing supervision to players and spectators; setup and breakdown of space and equipment; monitoring field play and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for play.

The hourly rate for this SEASONAL/TEMPORARY position is $18.20.

Employees may perform related duties as required. All applicants MUST meet the minimum qualifications for the position, as well as demonstrate the ability to perform the required functions . Individuals selected will be required to successfully pass a criminal background investigation, including a State, Federal and Sexual offender background check.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Six hundred (600) hours of relevant work experience as a leader or instructor in one or more specialized recreation activities.

Education: Graduation from high school or High School Certificate of Completion recognized by the State of Maryland.

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
